ACPRC Website

There is clearly a demand for high quality patient information leaflets yet currently no standardised leaflets exist within Physiotherapy. This leads to duplication and much wasted time and effort as individual centres create their own set of leaflets.

The ACPRC plans to produce a set of nationally agreed and approved leaflets with the following advantages;

• Quality assurance - the leaflets will be evidence based wherever possible
• Standardisation and consistency across respiratory physiotherapy.
• Standardisation of format
• The saving of a huge amount of time and effort

We have started this process alongside the BTS/ACPRC Physiotherapy guidelines as we have to produce information leaflets. These are broadly covering the evidenced physiotherapy techniques for each diagnosis covered in the guidelines, ie the 'what can physiotherapy do for me?' idea. These will be available for downloading on both BTS and ACPRC websites when complete.

We then propose to follow these with ACPRC leaflets on specific techniques, eg AD, SOB management etc. So, how you can help.........?
