To provide and sustain an organisation to promote the exchange of ideas amongst those interested in respiratory physiotherapy and respiratory care.

To facilitate post-registration education and training in respiratory physiotherapy.

To encourage research and development in respiratory physiotherapy and related fields, and provide a forum for discussion of findings.

To develop and maintain links with other relevant organisations in the U.K. and overseas.

To represent respiratory physiotherapy within the CSP and other relevant organisations.

To promote respiratory physiotherapy to colleagues and clients throughout the U.K.

To communicate between members and other relevant agencies by regular publications.
