Sarah is a Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist in complex ventilation and tracheostomy care, based at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK. She graduated from Brunel University with a MSc in Physiotherapy (pre-registration), having previously completed a BSc in Biology at the University of York.
In the last 8 years, Sarah has specialised in respiratory physiotherapy, working across intensive care and respiratory wards to outpatient clinics and community outreach. In her current role, Sarah follows patients across the entire patient journey, from provision of their home ventilation and airway clearance devices in hospital, to reviewing their progress at home in the community. She champions collaborative relationships with all her patients to enhance engagement and maximise quality of life.
Prior to her physiotherapy career, Sarah worked in healthcare communications, and is delighted to be able to draw on these skills once again in her role as Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the ACPRC.
