Writing for publication, and hints and tips for peer review of academic journals
This workshop covers everything you need to know about writing for a peer reviewed journal. From selecting the journal and writing the abstract to submitting the paper and responding to reviewers.
There will be plenty of time of ask questions and seek one-to-one advice. This is a practical course, and works best if you already have a paper in mind. Perhaps you have recently finished an MSc and wish to write your dissertation up, or are completing a service improvement project that you wish to share. No previous knowledge is needed.
In the second part of the course, we will focus on the art of peer reviewing. Anyone who is interested in peer reviewing (whether a seasoned expert or a nervous novice), is welcome to stay to learn more about making the most of this job.
PLEASE NOTE, THE WORKSHOP DOES NOT INCLUDE STATISTICAL ADVICE/SUPPORT. THIS IS PURELY ABOUT PUBLISHING THE WORK THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN UNDERTAKEN!
