Catrin is a Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist working in long-term ventilation, based at the Royal Brompton Hospital and Lane Fox Respiratory Unit in London. She graduated from UWE, Bristol in 2015 and has worked within respiratory care for the last 8 years. Working largely in the community setting, Catrin is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care and enabling patients to live the lives they wish.
Catrin also takes a great interest in education and sharing best practice. Recently, she has been involved in the working group writing the 'principles of care for adults living with a tracheostomy in the community', and is regularly involved in deliering teaching with organisations including the MNDa, BTS and ARTP. She is also currently undertaking an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
As 'Connect Champion', Catrin will be combining two ACPRC roles - Respiratory Leaders & Regional Reps. Building on the very well established Respiratory Leaders Group, Catrin hopes to develop the information and results sharing component, ensuring outcomes and discussions are disemminated for all to benefit. She will also be working on re-establing a connection / skills hub; a space that allows members to connect with others based on skills, interests and expertise.
