About the ACPRC

The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Respiratory Care is a National Body which promotes health and best practice in Respiratory Physiotherapy for the benefit of all.

The ACPRC was originally established in 1980, and with over 1,000 members is one of the largest professional networks of physiotherapists in the UK .

Each year, the ACPRC publish the only journal dedicated to Respiratory Physiotherapy, a Respiratory Review and a monthly e-Newsletter with all of the latest updates in Respiratory Care. The committee also deliver a wide range of short courses, a bi-annual conference and support members with a wide range of general enquiries.

Since 2016, the four core pillars of the ACPRC have been:

  • Leadership and Innovation

The ACPRC is run by an elected committee of members who support the organisation on a voluntary basis. The committee itself is made up of a wide range of specialist physiotherapists, many of whom are leading figures in their area of expertise.
