JJ Hudson-Colby

Long Term Conditions Champion

JJ is a Clinical Academic Physiotherapist and leads the Breathing Pattern Disorder outpatient service at The Respiratory Centre, University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. She is also a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Southampton, contributing to the MSc and BSc Physiotherapy programmes as well as the Medical School’s MSc in Medical Asthma and Allergy.


Alongside her clinical and teaching responsibilities, JJ has completed an NIHR internship and currently serves as an Associate Principal Investigator while preparing her PhD application. Her research focuses on multimorbidity in respiratory care, breathing pattern disorders, and exercise interventions for people living with long‑term respiratory conditions.


In January 2026, JJ joined the ACPRC Committee as the Long‑Term Conditions Champion. She is committed to improving patient care, strengthening collaboration, and supporting ACPRC members to deliver high‑quality respiratory care for people with long‑term conditions across the UK
